Black and White!

Still no sign of page four BUT I thought I'd ask y'all for some feedback on the following. I'm planning on submitting some pages to Warpton Studios (an UK-based comics publisher, if you can believe it), but would like to send them black and whites as I'm not exactly crash-hot on the colours yet. Anyway, I've spent today re-tooling two of the original inked pages to make them more suitable as a black and white comic. They're below - what do you lot think?

Without a doubt, go for it, Dan! Though I feel your colour work is going from strength to strength, the black and white pages easily stand on their own merit. Your drawing has always been outstanding and innovative in this field and I feel these pages showcase your work perfectly. They are dramatic and powerful in black and white and most certainly stand out from the crowd. BJS

Daniel Patrick, You told me you weren't interested in Warpton when I gave you that info. What did the other publishers say?

Hello everyone - thanks for the tip-top feedback! I'm probably gonna have my cake and eat it here: keep turning out colour pages for the site but also make sure that the pages look good as black and white. Mr Spink and Miss McC: you've both hit the nail on the head here. Without the colour, these look less like pictures, and more like a story.

Peach, I had another look at Warpton and decided I would be a fool not to at least explore the possibility. They're in the market to buy what I'm selling, so I should probably give it a go, right?

Well make sure and remember my 15% - so far the sum total of your paying gigs have all come from my references - SFM, Avian (well, I say paying...)
